The pics from Saturday night's SCREAM 2010 awards gave away what the Green Lantern's power battery would look like in the movie.
Comic Book Movie then obtained a picture of the actual power battery that is used in the actually Green Lantern movie released next summer.
I don't really like the way the battery looks in this picture. In fact, it doesn't really look like a battery at all. It looks like it is was built for a junior high-school play or for some 1960s sci-fi "B" movie. What do you think?

Bradley Cooper Front Runner to Play Barry Allen in THE FLASH Movie?
Deadline is reporting that the latest script for the Dc Comics character The Flash will be handed into Warner Bros between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green are writing the draft, and Greg Berlanti did the story with them. No word on who'll direct The Flash yet, bu it's doubtful it'll be Berlanti... "He won't want to direct it because he kinda wants to do something in between size-wise first before attempting something that large,".... apparently the film (Green Lantern) shaping up is "jaw-dropping".
Moviehole, also a reliable source, claims The Hangover's Bradley Cooper is the front runner to play The Flash. Its unlikely WB would actually be speaking to anyone without having signed a director, but they may well have Cooper in mind. Funnily enough Cooper was also a contender for the role of Hal Jordan in Green Lantern, which of course went to Ryan Reynolds in Green Lantern, which of course went to Ryan Reynolds in the end.

Very early days but, I've heard Bradley Cooper, who of course was the runner-up for the role of Hal Jordan in DC's "Green Lantern", is the favourite to wiggle his way into the cherry tights. Warner Bros loves them some Cooper, and DC is very keen to have Cooper be 'part of the family', so don't be surprised to hear the "Hangover" star's name mentioned in relation to the role when the shortlist is inevitably leaked.I believe that WB got these castings a bit ass backwards and Reynolds would have better suite the part of The Flash and vice versa!

Will We See Blake Lively As Star Sapphire in Green Lantern Movie?
Blake Lively chatted with MTV and was asked about playing Carol Ferris in Green Lantern following her role in The Town.
"To get to do a role like this that is so dark and so different and so broken and then to go be in a superhero movie opposite such amazing actors and an incredible director, and not just be the damsel in distress, be a fighter pilot, be his boss at the company, to play women with strengths are the characters I'm most attracted to," Lively said.
Carol ultimately becomes the villain Star Sapphire in the comics, but will there be any signs of that in the first film? "No, not yet," Lively added. "Well, I mean, there are always winks and homages to certain things in the comics for the fans, but I don't think you know yet how evil she turns."
The Martin Campbell-directed Green Lantern is scheduled to hit theaters on June 17.

GREEN LANTERN #59: Includes Exclusive Reveal for GREEN LANTERN Film
As if anyone needs reason to buy Geoff John's GREEN LANTERN comic book. The comic itself is one of the best books on the market and has been since he took over and begin piecing together his story (HAL JORDAN SECRET ORIGIN, SINESTRO CORP. WAR, BLACKEST NIGHT and BRIGHTEST DAY).
Now you have another reason to pick up the comic book. GREEN LANTERN #59 will include an exclusive first look at a member of the GREEN LANTERN CORPS from the 2011 live action GREEN LANTERN film.
I wonder if each monthly issue of GREEN LANTERN will feature an exclusive reveal as we move closer to Summer 2011. Who do you think will be the first character revealed in October in GREEN LANTERN #59?

Michael Goldenberg Tapped to Write Green Lantern 2
Reports are swirling that Michael Goldenberg has been hired to pen the screenplay for Green Lantern 2. He's no stranger to the character – having been involved with writing on the first film. This comes months after his co-writers Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim were commissioned to cook up a treatment.
No word on when WB would plan to unleash the Lantern follow-up. But you can bet that they're going to wait and see the results of Martin Campbell's freshman installment before fully committing to another one. The soonest it'd probably be unleashed is 2013/2014.
What would you like to see in the next Green Lantern movie? Who should be the major nemesis? Should Jon Stewart, Guy Gardner, Kyle Rainer, etc. be in the movie?

BREAKING NEWS: Krona is in Green Lantern Movie
Krona, the Oan scientist whose actions caused the creation of the DC Comics Multiverse will be introduced to general audiences in Martin Campbell's live action Green Lantern film. Comic Book Movies reports that several streets will be completely closed off to allow room for an Earth-based scene involving the fear entity Parallax and Krona.
Unfamiliar with Krona? He is a summary of history within the DC Universe:
Unfamiliar with Krona? He is a summary of history within the DC Universe:
Born on Maltus, Krona is an Oan scientist who became obsessed with observing the origins of the universe itself, despite an ancient legend that said discovering that secret would cause a great calamity. Krona constructs a machine that pierces the temporal barrier and views the beginnings of time itself. Krona catches a glimpse of the hand of creation depositing the speck that would become the entire cosmos. His machine explodes at that instant, and the universe is shattered causing the creation of the Multiverse as the universe replicates into an infinite number of parallel universes. At this same moment, the Anti-Matter Universe is created, unleashing evil into the cosmos; thus, the Monitor and the Anti-Monitor are born. As punishment for this act, Krona is transformed into pure energy by his fellow Oans and is sent to forever wander the cosmos. Krona's actions are what caused the Oans to become the Guardians of the Universe.

Blake Lively was at Comic-Con to promote ‘the Green Lantern’, and she and Ryan Reynolds sat on a panel to discuss their upcoming movie.
Her mouth moved and some guy, named Ryan was on stage with her but it was difficult to pay attention. For some reason, everyone in the audience had their mouths open and tongues out like the Wolf in a Tex Avery

FIRST LOOK: RYAN REYNOLDS AS GREEN LANTERN
Here it is. The CGI Green Lantern suit. What do you think?
Ryan Reynolds stars as Hal Jordan, a cocky test pilot who becomes a ring-wearing intergalactic superhero in this massive sci-fi epic from director Martin Campbell (Casino Royale). Though Reynolds has prior experience in the superhero realm from his role as Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, playing Green Lantern involved some major challenges, like getting hurled through the air on a wire at up to 60 feet per second to create the illusion of flight. “The first time you do it, you’re seriously considering an adult diaper,” Reynolds says. Still, he couldn’t resist the chance to play the beloved DC Comics hero, whose power ring can conjure virtually anything he can dream up. “Will and imagination are his superpowers,” Reynolds says. “We need a circus of Timothy Learys to think of things Hal would invent with his ring.”Source: Enterntianment Weekly
