'BATMUPPET FOREVER' Movie Poster is Two-Facerrific!

Thanks to artist CCZ at Worth1000 for this Batman Forever/Muppet Mashup movie poster.  It is utterly hilarious, especially Fozzie (and Animal) as Two-Face.  You can tell this great mashup has been around for a while but  it is definitely worthy of a second look.

Tom Hardy To Play Harvey Bullock In Batman 3: "The Dark Knight Rises"?

It seems like everyday a new Batman 3 nugget is released into cyberspace.  Yesterday, we received the wonderful news that the third film in Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise finally has a title, The Dark Knight Rises.”  We also learned from Nolan that the Riddler is NOT the villain in Batman 3. So much for the rumor that Tom Hardy will pay the Riddler.  If Hardy is not the Riddler, what role will he have in the "Dark Knight Rises?"
Well IMBD  updated their cast list for TDKR with Tom Hardy listed as Detective Harvey Bullock (rumored of course). Is this accurate or hoax?  Comic Book Movie gives us their take on the IMBD rumor, "I realize this must be taken for what it is. IMDB don't even post any news source for the info. But the thing is, once in a blue moon they actually get a few things right. IMDB had actor JJ Field listed as Montgomery Falsworth(Union Jack) in Captain America TFA before any other news site did, and that has since been confirmed. So I figured this was worth reporting on the off chance."

I think Hardy would play a good Bullock.  Put a some fat on his bones, stick a cigar in his mouth, a fedora on his head, a sandwich in his hand and he may will be a perfect Bullock.

What do you think?  Is this a good role for Hardy knowing that the Riddler will not be the villain in the new Nolan movie?  Let us know.

Third Batman Film Gets a Title, and Nolan Confirms That the Riddler is Out.

Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film will be called “The Dark Knight Rises” and though Nolan isn’t ready to reveal the villain of his 2012 film, he did eliminate one member of Batman's rouges gallery: “It won’t be the Riddler,” Nolan said in an exclusive interview with the Hero Complex.

Nolan, who is notoriously silent lipped about his movies, caused quite a stir with the elimination of Edward Nigma, the Riddler, who many people assumed was the next natural choice.  This is a bit of a disappointment to us, as we were thrilled to have Nolan erase the painful memories of Jim Carey'sridiculous portrayal of The Riddler in the old Batman films.  But Nolan has earned the right to do anything he wants in the next Batman film based on how well he has handled Batman Begins and the Dark Knight.

The title shows the writer-director’s intention to keep his Bruce Wayne trilogy tightly stitched together. “We’ll use many of the same characters as we have all along, but we’ll also be introducing some new ones,” Nolan said cryptically.

Nolan is clearly the man in charge on this film, which is nothing but a good thing in our book.  He could put Firefly in the movie, and we'd probably all end up thinking it was cool.

At the end of the day, we're OK with whatever Nolan's vision is.  He's earned that level of respect.  Besides, we've thought all along that Two Face would probably be the villain in this movie, and as other potential rouges keep getting eliminated, that seems more and more likely.

Super Sexy Villainess Halloween Costumes for 2010 (Possibly NSFW)

A very intelligent person once said, "“Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.”  It's sad to think that so many women throughout our country feel they can only dress this way one-day-a-year without being labeled.

Well ladies if you're going to go the sexy/slutty route this Halloween, why not get in touch with your inner "bad girl" geek? What's sexier than a bad-girl?  Not a damn thing!

The last two weeks we began our weekly Halloween feature which highlights one sexy superhero costume each week until October 31.  This week decided to go the "bad-girl" route and show-off our favorite female villain costumes.

Hopefully these costumes will provide a bit of inspiration for our lovely, beautiful and secretly "bad" female readers to wear to this years party or your favorite heroes bedroom.

Tom Hardy Cast as Mystery Character in BATMAN 3

Deadline reports that Tom Hardy is indeed up for a role in Batman 3 and he's already been hired by Warner Bros for a "lead role" in the sequel.

A while ago we posted a story on Gfest (Three Inception Stars Want to be The Riddler in Batman 3) that following the success of Inception, Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros were keen on hiring either Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon Levitt or Tom Hardy as The Riddler in Batman 3. Well, it would appear that Hardy has indeed been cast in the upcoming third installment of Nolan's Batman franchise!

Here is an excerpt from the report over at Deadline:
"I'm told that Hardy has been set by his Inception director Chris Nolan for a lead role in the next Batman film at Warner Bros. Insiders are keeping the role secret and won't even say if he's up for a villain role, but that seems a reasonable assumption."
Deadline is well known for being VERY reliable with these scoops and while this does not confirm that he'll play The Riddler, that might just be the lead role the site are talking about if that sources information was correct!

However, with recent rumours pointing to Killer Croc being the main villain in Batman 3, could that be the character he'll portray? Who else do you think Hardy would be a good choice for? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

Batman 3 is set to be released on July 20, 2012!

Eminem Lobbying to Play The Riddler in Next Batman Movie?

There hasn't really been that much information released about the next Batman film, but that doesn't mean that there hasn't been a mountain of rumors flying around about who will be playing The Riddler.  The latest casting rumor:  Eminem wants the role of the wacky villain.

Reports from The Daily Express out of England claim that Eminem is going to whatever he can to land the infamous role of the Riddler once played by Jim Carrey.  To get Director Christopher Nolan's attention, the rapper has gone as far as to pen some dope batman related lyrics: "When it comes to business, you know I ain't no fiddler; You tell them Batman biggies, I wanna play The Riddler!"

I hope he has more of an audition planned than that.

Eminem's people apparently confirmed that he has spoken to the producers of the new Batman film about the Riddler role, but he will be facing stiff competition from actual actors like Johnny Depp and Joseph Gorden-Levitt who are allegedly on Nolan's list.

Depp's involvement in the film was debunked over a year ago, but he has expressed interest in playing the character.  Gorden-Levitt on the other hand was said to be on a Warner Bros 'casting grid' for their next film and has been listed as "interested".

Gfest isn't anti-Eminem, but casting him as the Riddler?  That's not a good fit at all.  We're ready to throw this rumor in the junk pile.  We just can't see this one eventually being true.

Three Inception Stars Want to Be the Riddler In Batman 3!

Comic Book Movie is reporting that an inside source from Warner Bros revelaed the stars of Christopher Nolan's latest movie Inception: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Tom Hardy are all competing for the role of The Riddler in Batman 3.

Apparently, the studio is especially keen on allowing Nolan to hire one of the actors because of the extra publicity and attention it would bring to the movie (as did Christian Bale re-teaming with Christopher Nolan in The Prestige for example) while the fact they were all praised for their performances also plays a part.

As with any rumor from an "inside source," it's best to take this with a pinch of salt.  It's already been reported that Levitt is in the running for this role, but seeing Inception, I am leaning more and more towards Hardy as the best fit to play the Riddler. Regardless it is nice that Nolan is looking at three individuals that will play the role very, very well.
