"DC Showcase" animated shorts have been a very pleasant surprise for all the DC Animated fans. The Spectre (my favorite), Jonah Hex and Green Arrow have been released thus far as a bonus to a DC Animated full length feature.
As we reported earlier all the "DC Showcase" animated shorts being collected and released next week on DVD and Blu-Ray. What's even nicer, however, is that the collection comes with the brand new animated short Superman/Shazam: The Return Of Black Adam.
Thanks to The Splash Page we have the ability to watch an exclusive clip from "Superman/Shazam" to get you psyched for its release next week.
Superman/Shazam: The Return Of Black Adam features Jerry O’Connell as the voice of Captain Marvel, George Newbern as Superman, Arnold Vosloo ("The Mummy") as Black Adam, and veteran actor James Garner as The Wizard.
Enjoy the preview!

Mattel Releases More "Mego" Type Retro DC Action Figures Including Darkseid & Black Adam
I had several Mego action figures (won't call them dolls) growing up. If only I had not destroyed them in my childhood. Throwing, tying, hanging, jumping, shooting, etc. did not allow my Mego figures to stand the test of time.
Thankfully, Mego-styledolls (action figures) have experienced a resurgence thanks to Mattel's World's Greatest DC Heroes line, which has released many DC Comics heroes and villains that never saw the light of day under Mego. In addition to Captain Marvel (aka Shazam) the line will see the first appearance of Black Adam, Martian Manhunter and my personal all-time favorite character, Darkseid.
Dolls, I mean action figures never looked so AWESOME! What DC character would you like to see become a retro figure? I'd like Ra's Al Guhl.
